When extraordinary artists transition the collective feels the loss deeply. David Bowie connected to so many many people on so many levels. I’m Devorah, astrologer for Sage Magazine and Soul Traveller Radio. Here’s a peek at the Starman’s star chart?
David Bowie, was born David Jones – January 8, 1947 in Brixton U.K. and despite his conservative Sun in Capricorn, he bore a strong Uranian signature and that’s because he had an Aquarian Ascendant and so he projected the aura of an utterly individualistic, androgynous, alienated even alien persona, a virtual space cadet, which is how I usually describe the highly charged frequency of Aquarians. He was a maverick, a radical dissenter, operating via a future orientated supra-consciousness that somehow spoke to so many likeminded wanna-be revolutionaries.
He had a fascination with Mars and no doubt that was because his Sun and Mars were both in Capricorn in the 12th house of mysteries in the zodiac ruling the indefinable and nebulous. He was undoubtedly a Shaman and tapped right into the wavelength of the collective unconscious.
His Moon in Leo conjunct both Saturn and Pluto in his 7th house of relationships is a powerfully obsessive and moody placement. He surely was in touch with his dark side and perhaps that’s why we loved him so much. He intensely, even erotically aroused such deep and conflicting emotions.
David died as the New Moon emerged in his own Sun sign of Capricorn. He had been experiencing life changing transits from Pluto and Uranus impacting his Sun/Mars conjunction in the 12th house of concealment since 2014. Yes his brave battle with Cancer was kept a secret whilst he went on creating yet another extraordinary album, ‘Blackstar’ with the single ‘Lazarus’ turning lead into gold as this master of Alchemy always managed to do. Like the Biblical Lazarus who is the subject of a prominent miracle in which Jesus restores Elazar (as he is known in Hebrew) back to life, we all know this to be already true as the Star man’s music will never die.
One of my favourite examples of Bowie’s ability to instigate alchemical collaborations is the final version of the song that became “Under Pressure” which evolved from a jam session that Bowie had with the band Queen. It was credited as co-written by the five musicians. And its message is clear – the solution to all pain is Love …..
